astora allocates Haidach-capacities in two procedures for 22/23 and 24/25

Kassel, 1 February 2022: In February, astora will market capacities at the Haidach storage facility in two separate procedures: Between 08.02.2022 and 22.02.2022 astora will offer storage capacities for the storage year 22/23 and on 17.02.2022 for the storage year 24/25 on the capacity platform PRISMA.

The working gas volume for 22/23 totals approx. 1 TWh and is offered in 25 bundles of 38,956 MWh each. The combined firm and interruptible capacity for injection and withdrawal is 18 MWh/h per bundle.

The exact allocation date for the 22/23 product will be announced 24 hours in advance to all market participants who have registered with astora via PRISMA. Companies that are not yet registered and are interested in participating are requested to submit a request via the PRISMA platform, taking into account the registration deadline.

For the storage year 24/25, a total working gas volume of 2 TWh is offered in 100 bundles. The total capacity is 9.3 MWh/h per bundle.

No variable fee is charged for the storage products. Storage curves are applicable, whereby the injection and withdrawal capacities limited by the storage curves can be used free of charge and on an interruptible basis. 

The Haidach storage facility is connected to the market area Trading Hub Europe (THE) via the network operators bayernets GmbH (USP Haidach) and Open Grid Europe GmbH (Speicher Haiming 3-Haidach). By booking short-distance transport between the USP Haidach and Ueberackern 2, there is also a connection of the Haidach storage facility to the Eastern control area in Austria, which means that corresponding regulations of REGENT must be considered.
