astora markets Haidach capacity for storage years 2022/23 and 2023/24

Kassel, 13 August 2021: Between 18 August 2021 and 27. August 2021, astora will offer storage capacities for the storage years 22/23 and 23/24 in the Haidach storage facility on the capacity platform PRISMA. Market participants registered with astora on PRISMA will be informed about the exact auction date at least 24 hours in advance. Companies not yet registered and interested in participating are requested to submit a request via the PRISMA platform, taking into account the registration deadline. 

A total working gas volume of 2 TWh is to be marketed. This is divided into 100 bundles of 20,000 MWh each. The fixed and interruptible capacity together for injection and withdrawal each amount to 9.5 MWh/h per bundle and year. 

No variable fee is charged for the storage products. Storage curves are applicable, whereby the injection and withdrawal capacities limited by the storage curves can be used free of charge and on an interruptible basis.

The Haidach storage facility is then directly connected to the market area Trading Hub Europe (THE) via the network operators bayernets GmbH (USP Haidach) and Open Grid Europe GmbH (Speicher Haiming 3-Haidach). By booking short-distance transport between the USP Haidach and Ueberackern 2, there is also a connection of the Haidach storage facility to the Eastern control area in Austria, which means that corresponding regulations of REGENT must be considered. These will be updated in accordance with the REGENT 2021 Regulation, valid as of 01 October 2021. The contract documents are now available in the download area on www.astora.de.
