UGS Jemgum – Marketing of capacities for the storage year 2025/2026

[Kassel, 2 April 2025] As part of several auction procedures, SEFE Storage GmbH will offer its unmarketed storage capacities for the natural gas storage facility in Jemgum for the storage year 2025/26 from 8 April 2025 on PRISMA capacity platform. 

The offered working gas volume of 2.7 TWh in total will be marketed flexibly as part of the respective auction on the basis of the following product structures:

Jemgum SY25/26 (1) - 0.3 TWh: bundle with a working gas volume of 77,500,000 kWh, each bundle includes a firm injection capacity of 51,150 kWh/h and a firm withdrawal capacity of 77,500 kWh/h. 

Jemgum SY25/26 - 2.4 TWh: bundle with a working gas volume of 76,870,430 kWh, each bundle includes a firm injection capacity of 50,740 kWh/h and a firm withdrawal capacity of 76,870 kWh/h. 

No variable fee will be charged for the storage product. The respective current filling level requirements in Germany apply.

The respective auction date and the number of bundles offered will be communicated 24 hours in advance to all companies already registered on PRISMA and verified by SEFE Storage. Companies that are not yet registered and interested in participating and would like to receive notice are asked to submit a request via PRISMA, taking into account the registration deadline.

The UGS Jemgum is connected to the THE market area via the network operator GASCADE Gastransport GmbH and to the TTF market area via the network operator Gasunie Transport Services B.V. (GTS), which means that the corresponding regulations under REGENT must be considered.
